[Instant News/Comprehensive Report] The (novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19) epidemic continues to rage. In order to prevent imported cases from abroad, the Spanish Ministry of Health announced yesterday (12th) that starting from the 15th, all travelers entering Spain will be required to quarantine at home for 14 days.

According to foreign media reports, the Spanish Ministry of Health stated that all arrivals must undergo home quarantine at home or a designated residence, but they can go out when necessary to buy food, medicine, or seek medical treatment, and they must wear a mask when going out. Travelers must provide their complete accommodation location upon entry so that Spanish authorities can contact them during home quarantine.

Spain is still in a state of emergency, which is expected to end on May 24, so home quarantine measures for arrivals will last from the 15th to the 24th. However, if the state of emergency is extended, home quarantine measures for arrivals will also be extended.

The Spanish Ministry of Health announced yesterday 594 new cases of Wuhan pneumonia, which is the lowest number of new confirmed cases in a single day in Spain in the past two months. There were also 176 new deaths, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 228,030, including 26,920 deaths.
