About Malaysia
Malaysia - My Second Home Programme
Malaysia's "My Second Home (MM2H)" originated from the "Senior Ethnic Project" launched by the Malaysian government in 1996. Its main purpose is to encourage foreign retired seniors to travel to Malaysia and live there for a long time. Beginning in 2002, the government decided to officially change the name of the "Senior Ethnic Project" to the "Malaysia Second Home Project", and the applicants were no longer limited to retired people. In 2024, the Malaysian government will review the plan, significantly increase the application threshold, and change the MM2H long-term residence permit period to platinum, gold, and silver levels (renewable). Applicants can apply together with their parents, spouse, and unmarried children under the age of 34.
Benefits available
- Dependents are eligible for higher education in Malaysia
- Enjoy Malaysia’s long-term medical resources
- Platinum level travels to Malaysia with a domestic helper
- Platinum level allows investment to establish private companies
